PHD Robotics

Course Overview

The PhD in Robotics is a specialised research programme where students will undertake supervised study at the Centre for Automation and Robotics Research (CARR). Entry Requirements for Sri Lankan Students

Candidates will need to submit a completed postgraduate application form, including a research proposal of about 1500 words. They are advised to contact the relevant staff to make sure their proposal aligns with the university's research themes before they apply.

Grade Requirements:

  • Applicants should have an undergraduate degree, with a grade of 2:1 or above, and/or a relevant master's qualification.

English Proficiency:

  • If the candidates are from a country where English is not the main language, they must provide proof of their English language ability.
  • An overall IELTS score of 6.5 or above, with at least 6.0 in each component or an accepted equivalent. Please note that your test score must be current, i.e. within the last two years.

Cost of Study

For full-time international and EU postgraduate research students, the tuition fee for this programme is £17,725 per year.

There are many scholarship opportunities for international students. The Transform Together Scholarship offers a 50% tuition fee reduction to top applicants.
