The Sheffield Hallam University MSc Analytical Chemistry is a full-time and one-year course available at the university city campus. The programme has the Royal Society of Chemistry accreditation and is set up to equip students with the skills necessary to become analytical scientists. It is both practice-based and is taught using state-of-the-art, industry-standard equipment and covers both traditional as well as contemporary analytical methods.
The modules that make up the curriculum are both compulsory and elective in nature, such as Advanced Laboratory and Research Practice, Forensic Analysis and a Research Project. The assessments include coursework, examinations and practical assessment. If English is not your first language, you will need an IELTS score of 6.0 with a minimum of 5.5 in each skill, or a recognised equivalent like TOEFL or PTE.
