BSc Biomedical Science
Course overview
This four-year degree offers students a solid scientific education, preparing them for jobs in the medical and pharmaceutical industries. It has been approved by the Institute of Biomedical Science (IBMS), which is important if a student wishes to register as a biomedical scientist. The studies include subjects about diagnosing, monitoring, and treating human diseases.
Students will learn through lectures, hands-on lab sessions, and independent study. They will be assessed through written tests, course reports, and practical skills evaluations. Graduates of this course can work as biomedical scientists, but they will need extra training in a hospital lab to be officially registered with the Health Professions Council.
