BSc Architectural Technology
Course overview
The BSc Architectural Technology (with Foundation Year) at Nottingham Trent University is for students who want to learn how to design, build, and manage buildings. The foundation year helps students get the basic skills they need before starting the main degree. By graduation, students have useful skills for careers in architectural technology, building design, project coordination, or further training.
In the main degree, students learn how a building is created from the first idea to the design, construction, and maintenance stages. The course includes real project work, combining creativity with technology through studio-based learning similar to professional practice. The assessment is based on practical projects, studio work, presentations, portfolios, and written reports.
