Course Overview

The MSc in Civil Engineering at London South Bank University (LSBU) is an accredited postgraduate programme designed for engineers and professionals in the construction industry who wish to advance their expertise in civil, structural, and geotechnical engineering.

Entry Requirements for Sri Lankan Students

Applicants must submit a personal statement detailing their motivation for joining the course, along with an academic or professional reference. A CV highlighting relevant experience should also be included.

Grade Requirements:

  • A minimum of a 2:2 UK Honours degree in a related field.
  • Recognised international equivalents will also be considered.
  • Relevant work experience in the field is an advantage.

English Proficiency:

  • IELTS score of 6.5 overall, with at least 6.0 in each component.
  • Equivalent qualifications such as TOEFL or Pearson PTE are accepted.

Cost of Study

For the 2025/26 academic year, international students pay £16,000 per year in tuition fees for the MSc Civil Engineering programme. Tuition fees are reviewed annually and may be subject to change.
