The BSc Building Surveying course at London South Bank University is a professionally accredited programme designed with input from industry experts. Entry Requirements

When applying, applicants will need to submit a personal statement that explains why they want to take this course and includes any other important details about their education. A reference from a past teacher or employer is also necessary. Applicants can also choose to upload their CV with their application to show their work experience.

Grade Requirements:

  • At least 120 UCAS points.
  • GCSE in Maths at grade C or above (or reformed grade 4 or above).
  • Alternative pathways are available through the partner institution, South Bank College, for those who do not meet these requirements.

English Proficiency:

  • Minimum IELTS score of 5.5 overall, with no less than 5.5 in any of the four skills (reading, writing, listening, and speaking).
  • Other equivalent English language qualifications are also accepted.

Cost of Study

For international students, the fee for 2025/26 is £15,500 per year.

Scholarships

LSBU offers several scholarships to help international students with their studies. Students who have excellent grades, can be eligible for the Vice-Chancellor's International Merit Award, which gives undergraduates £2,000 each year. Another option is the Global Success Scholarship, which can give students up to £4,000. New international students from Europe could also get a £5,000 annual fee reduction with the European Impact Scholarship.

There are also other awards available. If the student has already graduated from LSBU and is coming back for a postgraduate degree, they could get the LSBU Loyalty Award. The university also helps students find funding from other places, like the government-backed Chevening and Commonwealth Scholarships, which offer significant support for students studying for a Master's or PhD.
