BSc Human Nutrition

Course Overview

The London Metropolitan University BSc Human Nutrition degree is for students who want to improve human health through nutrition and disease prevention. The course is accredited by the Association for Nutrition, which gives students a strong foundation in scientific and public health nutrition.

Laboratory experiments will be carried out at the university's Science Centre and study how diet, lifestyle, and physical activity impact health and how to prevent chronic non-communicable diseases.

Students will study modules such as Anatomy, Physiology and Essentials of Human Nutrition. The second year includes topics like Applied Food and Nutritional Science and Public Health Nutrition and the final year includes subjects such as Diet and Disease and Sports and Exercise Nutrition, and a research dissertation.

Entry Requirements for Sri Lankan Students

  • Candidates 112 UCAS points from A-levels, BTEC including a C in Human Biology or biology.
  • GCSE at grade C or 4 in mathematics and English language.
  • Other international equivalent qualifications are also accepted.

English Proficiency:

  • Candidates need an IELTS score of 6.5 overall with a minimum of 6.0 in all sections.
  • Other English language test scores, such as PTE Academic and TOEFL IBT, are accepted, to name a few.

Cost of Study

The tuition fee for the BSc Human Nutrition at London Metropolitan University for the academic year is £19,500. This can change annually and does not include additional costs.

Scholarships

London Metropolitan University provides scholarships to support international students, including the International Bright Futures Scholarship, which offers a £3,000 tuition fee reduction, given automatically to eligible students.
