BSc Computer Networking and Cyber Security

Course Overview

The BSc Networking and Cyber Security will teach students how to prevent and detect cyber security break-ins, from hacking and fraud against networks, information, applications, businesses and other systems that rely on technology. Accredited by the British Computer Society, the course equips students with the practical skills and experience necessary to protect computer systems, physical environments and technologies, as well as to find solutions to real security challenges. These skills will help students build a successful career in the cyber security industry.

Students will develop a deeper understanding of cyber security by studying subjects such as networks and operating systems, programming and security in computing, before moving on to specialist topics such as ethical hacking, digital crime investigation and network and cloud security.

The course has been accredited with full CITP status by BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT. This accreditation is a mark of assurance that the degree meets the standards set by BCS.

Grade Requirements:

  • Applicants are expected to hold 80 UCAS tariff points with qualifications equivalent to A-levels with a minimum of grades at BB or CCE.

English Proficiency:

  • If English is not your first language, you will need an overall IELTS score of 6.0, with at least 5.5 in each part.
  • The university also accepts other test scores, such as TOEFL and PTE.

Cost of Study

For international students, the tuition fee for the BSc Networking and Cyber Security at London Metropolitan University is £19,500 per year.

Scholarships

London Metropolitan University offers the International Bright Futures Scholarship, a £3,000 reduction in tuition fees for eligible international postgraduate students.
