Course overview

The Liverpool John Moores University BSc Science and Football with Foundation Year is a programme created for those with a passion for football and the science behind it. The foundation year is for students who can study for a degree but do not have the required qualifications for direct entry. After passing the foundation year, students progress to the first year of the honours degree. The course is endorsed by the British Association of Sport and Exercise Sciences (BASES).

Entry requirements

Grade Requirements:

  • You need a minimum of 64 UCAS tariff points, including A-levels, T-levels, BTECs, and the International Baccalaureate. The university also accepts International qualifications that are equivalent to A-levels.

English Proficiency:

  • International students must show English language proficiency equivalent to an overall IELTS score of 6.0, with no individual component scoring below 5.5. They can also submit equivalent test scores like PTE.
