Liverpool John Moores University’s BSc (Hons) Quantity Surveying prepares students for careers where they manage finances and contracts to ensure a construction project is completed within budget, on time, and to the expected standards. This degree helps graduates to perform tasks such as cost estimation, budget management, contract administration, and project cost monitoring.
In this programme, students will learn to estimate project costs, manage contracts, prepare bills of quantities, visit construction sites to assess progress, and liaise with clients. They will also understand how materials are examined and the amount required is provided to ensure the smooth running of projects. Learning in this course is through lectures, tutorials, interactive sessions, quizzes, and seminars. Assessment is through examinations, presentations, and a final-year project.
