The BSc Adult Nursing at Kingston University is a practical course that prepares you for a rewarding healthcare career. You’ll learn from experienced professionals in areas such as A&E, intensive care, cancer care, mental health, community nursing and more.
Your training will take place in a variety of settings. These include hospital wards, community services, and our award-winning simulation suite, where you can practise your skills in realistic scenarios using role players and advanced manikins. You’ll also go on placements in areas such as surgical wards, oncology, GP surgeries, ICU and district nursing.
In your first year, you’ll explore the science behind nursing and learn how to build strong, respectful relationships with patients and colleagues. You’ll also look at the different things that affect people’s health in today’s society.

Kingston University is located in Kingston, South West London. It started as the Kingston Technical Institute in 1899 and was given university status in 1992.
The university offers a wide range of courses for both undergraduate and postgraduate students. These are organised into four main faculties: Business and Social Science; Engineering, Computing and the Environment; Kingston School of Art; and Health, Science, Social Care and Education.
A lot of the courses include work placements and projects, which give students hands-on experience and prepare them for the workplace.
Grade Requirements:
This course requires a minimum of 112 UCAS tariff points, preferably with some health and science subjects studied. This could be achieved through qualifications such as A-levels at BBC, BTEC Extended Diploma at DMM, and an Access to HE course with 21 Distinctions and 18 Merits.
English Proficiency:
International students whose first language is not English are to demonstrate proficiency in English by having an IELTS overall score of 6.0 with at least 5.5 in each of the components.
For the 2025/2026 academic session, the tuition fee to study the BSc Adult Nursing at Kingston University is £18,800. Please note that this amount is only for the first year, as subsequent fees are subject to an annual increase.
