LLB Law with Politics

Course Overview

The LLB Law with Politics at Keele University helps you learn the basics of law and understand how politics works in the UK and around the world. You will study politics, why it is important, and global issues such as political conflict, threats to democracy, and corruption.

You will study the seven main areas of law: Contract Law, Tort Law, Public Law, Criminal Law, European Law, Land Law, and Equity & Trusts. You can choose to spend a year in a work placement to get real job experience and make professional contacts. You may also study abroad at one of Keele’s partner universities.

There is also the chance to learn a new language, which can help you prepare for a career in the UK or in other countries. About University

Keele University is a public university in Staffordshire, England. It started in 1949 and was called the University College of North Staffordshire. In 1962, it officially became Keele University.

Keele is known for its excellent teaching and research. In 2023, it received the highest award, Gold, for its teaching. A lot of its research is considered to be "world-leading”. It is also known for its joint honours degrees. This lets students study two different subjects at the same time, which gives them a broader education.

  • For entry to this course, you will typically need A Levels at ABB, a BTEC National Diploma at DDM, or a T Level with a Distinction.

English Proficiency:

  • International students whose first language is not English are to show proficiency in the language through several tests, such as IELTS with an overall score of 6.5, TOEFL iBT of 87, and other approved equivalent tests.

Scholarships

For the 2025/26 academic year, the tuition fee to study the LLB Law with Politics at Keele University is £17,700. Please note that fees are paid annually and are subject to change.

Careers

Keele University provides different scholarships to help international students with their tuition fees. These scholarships usually give you a discount on your fees and are given to students with excellent grades.

The Undergraduate Global Scholarship is for international students in their first year. If your grades are better than what is normally required to get into your course, you could receive up to a £5,000 discount.

If you keep your grades high, you might also get more money in the following years. You do not need to apply for this scholarship separately; the university will consider you automatically when you apply.
