The MSc Sports Therapy program is designed for Society of Sports Therapists-accredited graduates seeking career advancement, and combines 200 hours of practical experience with specialist skills and knowledge in strength and conditioning and mental wellbeing in performance sports, aiming to produce confident sports therapists who can develop comprehensive plans for athletes' holistic benefit.
This program develops students into evidence-based practitioners, builds industry connections, and opens up employment opportunities through vocational placement, while also equipping those interested in academia with the research skills needed for further study, such as a PhD.
The program focuses on hands-on learning, where students work with real clients in a professional setting, supported by specialised training. A key part of this is a 200-hour work placement, which is carefully chosen to match students' career goals and covers areas like injury management, nutrition, and sports performance.
