BSc Nutrition Health

Course Overview

The BSc Nutrition & Health at EdgeHill University is a three-year full-time programme designed to provide students with an understanding of the role of nutrition in health and disease. During this course, students will gain experience by conducting food property tests, investigating antimicrobial properties, and using equipment to measure various health indicators. 

This degree is accredited by the Association for Nutrition (AfN) and successful graduates can apply for direct entry as a Registered Associate Nutritionist (ANutr). Learning methods include discussions, group work, tutorials, lab work, workplace experience, online provision, and taught sessions. Assessment methods include essays, presentations, portfolios, coursework, examinations, posters, and practical sessions.

Entry Requirements for Sri Lankan Students

Applicants are required to submit a personal statement in which they discuss their reasons for applying to the course and other important information regarding their education. A relevant academic and/or employer reference is also required. Students have the option to upload their CV along with their applications to demonstrate their work experience.

Grade Requirements:

  • Applicants typically need 104-112 UCAS Tariff points achieved through qualifications such as A Levels at BCC, a BTEC Extended Diploma at DMM, or a T Level. 
  • International qualifications equivalent to A levels are also accepted.

English Proficiency:

  • Applicants whose first language is not English are required to demonstrate English language proficiency by achieving an overall score of 6.0 on the IELTS Test with no individual component below 5.5. 
  • Equivalent English language qualifications, such as TOEFL, are also accepted.

Cost of Study

For International students taking the BSc Nutrition & Health at Edge Hill University, the annual tuition fee is £17,000.
