Course Overview

Building on the foundation of the MSc Computational and Software Techniques in Engineering, this programme gives a direction to the postgraduate research and provides students with relevant skills in computer science, artificial intelligence, and data analytics, which are important for developing and evaluating complex algorithms in a fact-based environment.

Entry Requirements for Sri Lankan Students

Applicants are required to submit a personal statement, an academic or employer reference, and a detailed research proposal, with an optional CV, to show that they are eligible for the course.

Grade Requirements: 

  • Applicants need a first or second class UK honours degree in a related subject such as aeronautical, mechanical, electrical engineering, or computer science. 
  • Candidates with a lower second-class degree may be considered if they have relevant work experience or other qualifications.

English Proficiency: 

  • Candidates need an overall score of 6.5 in IELTS with no component score below 5.5.
  • PTE Academic or TOEFL are also accepted.

Cost of Study

For the academic year, the tuition fee for the full-time MSc in Computational and Software Techniques in Engineering - Computational Intelligence for Data Analytics option is £27,910 for international students.
