Overview
The MSc Sport Rehabilitation at Cardiff Metropolitan University is a postgraduate degree where you are taught how to help athletes recover from injury and return to full fitness. The course is designed for graduates who have backgrounds in sport science, physiotherapy, exercise science, or related fields.
Students train using advanced facilities like biomechanics labs, treatment and rehab clinics, and strength and conditioning suites. Teaching combines classroom learning with practical workshops and case studies led by professionals who have worked with elite athletes and sports teams.
A major part of the course is the clinical placement, where students gain real-life experience working in sports clubs, rehabilitation centres, or healthcare settings. The course concludes with a research project, where students get to explore a topic of their choice.
