LLB Law

Course Overview

Cardiff Metropolitan University's LLB Law degree gives students a strong foundation in legal knowledge, designed to meet the requirements of the Solicitors Regulation Authority and the Bar Standards Board.

This program prepares students for a career in law and further training to become a solicitor or barrister, teaching them critical thinking, effective communication, and persuasive argumentation skills that are essential for legal practice. By studying this course, students will gain the knowledge and skills needed for a successful career in law.

Students participate in practical activities like mooting, client interviewing, and working in law clinics, using a mock courtroom to gain experience. This helps them develop important skills like collaboration, communication, legal research, and public speaking. The course is taught through guided self-study, lectures, and seminars, with each module including scheduled classes and a lot of independent learning time, allowing students to take charge of their learning and work at their own pace.
