BSc Sport Exercise Science

The Cardiff Metropolitan University BSc Sport and Exercise Science degree is supported by the Chartered Association of Sport and Exercise Sciences-CASES and focuses on the scientific principles that support athletic performance and physical activity. The major part of the programme is built around disciplines of physiology, biomechanics and psychology, where the students will gain both breadth of knowledge and interdisciplinary understanding.

Laboratory sessions and applied practice provide the students with practical experience, and they have the opportunity to specialise in themes such as strength and conditioning, sports nutrition, or exercise referral. The last year incorporates a major project in a selected area, mentoring support, and a focus on developing independent learning aligned with professional employment or further study.

Grade Requirements:

• Candidates need 120-128 UCAS tariff points, which is equivalent to A-Level, BTEC, or T-Level. Other international qualifications equivalent to A-Levels are accepted.

English Proficiency:

• Applicants whose first language is not English are required to achieve an IELTS score of 6.0 overall, with a minimum of 5.5 in each section or submit equivalent acceptable test scores.

The tuition fee for international students on the BSc Sport & Exercise Science at Cardiff Metropolitan University is £16,000.
