MArch Architecture
Course overview
The Birmingham City University MArch Architecture course is the second stage of professional training required to become a qualified architect. This programme prioritises innovative architectural teaching, aiming to develop students' critical abilities, practical skills, and creativity. The course benefits from strong connections with over 100 architecture practices, preparing graduates to design and create the buildings of tomorrow.
The course is recognised by both the Architects Registration Board (ARB) and the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) for exemption from the Part II examination. It offers a stimulating and dynamic educational experience at the postgraduate level. Students work within a design studio-led research environment, creating architectural designs that meet technical requirements while possessing aesthetic appeal. There are also international opportunities for fieldwork and study visits.
