Entry Requirements

Grade Requirements: 

  • You need 112 UCAS Tariff points, which is equivalent to BBC at A-Level, BTEC (Diploma/Extended Diploma/Extended Certificate), T Levels, or International Baccalaureate. 
  • A-level equivalent international qualifications are also accepted.

English Proficiency: 

  • If English is not your primary language, you will need to have an IELTS score of 6.0 overall, with no less than 5.5 in any individual component, or submit equivalent English language test scores like TOEFL or PTE.

Cost of Study

For the 2025/26 academic year, the tuition fee for the BEng Automotive Engineering programme is £17,690.

Scholarships

Birmingham City University offers various scholarships to support undergraduate students. These include the High Achievers' Scholarship, providing £1,000 for students achieving 144 UCAS points or more, and the Accelerate Scholarship, also worth £1,000, for students from lower-income households.
