Birkbeck University London

BSc International Business with Foundation Year

Birkbeck University London

Course overview

This BSc International Business with Foundation Year is a four-year (full-time) or six-year (part-time) programme that includes an extra year at the beginning to help you get ready for university-level study.

This first year is really useful if you are coming back to education after some time away, if you have not studied the right subjects before, or if your previous grades were not high enough to go straight into the degree. The Foundation Year gives you extra support with your learning. If you pass the Foundation Year, you will automatically continue to the main International Business degree course.

The way you will learn involves going to lectures where teachers explain ideas, taking part in smaller group discussions called seminars where you can talk about what you are learning, and doing practical activities in workshops to help you understand things better. How your progress is checked will likely be through a mix of assignments that you complete during the year and exams that you take.
