MSc Neuroimaging

Bangor University

Course overview

This MSc Neuroimaging at Bangor University offers a strong foundation in modern brain imaging methods used in cognitive and clinical neuroscience. Students study theoretical and methodological aspects of the course, including how imaging techniques such as MRI, functional MRI, diffusion imaging, and spectroscopy work, and then apply this knowledge in practical lab-based modules.

In addition to taught modules, students design and conduct a research project using the in-house 3T MRI scanner. This gives them practical experience in analysing brain imaging data, understanding neural processes, and preparing a thesis that reflects good research practice.
