BA Business Management Finance

Course Overview

This program combines business management with a specialisation in finance, designed for students aiming for a career in the finance sector. It covers key areas such as financial behaviour, finance and accountancy, and financial analysis and reporting.

A significant part of the course is a 40-credit dissertation module focused on finance. The course is a 3-year full-time program, with intakes in October and February. The degree is awarded by the University of Bolton.

The course employs active learning and facilitative teaching methods, encouraging students to build their knowledge through supported inquiry in small groups. Assessments are conducted at various points and include assignments, projects, in-class tests, and presentations.

Students receive feedback on their progress throughout the modules, with detailed written feedback provided after each summative assessment. Scheduled teaching accounts for 16% of the learning, with the remaining 84% dedicated to independent study. The assessment weighting is: Examinations (15%), Coursework (75%), and Practical (10%).
