Course Overview

The BEng Computer and Internet Engineering with Foundation Year and Placement at the University of Surrey is a great choice. This course starts with an Engineering and Physical Sciences Foundation Year. This extra year of study is designed for students who do not meet the standard entry requirements. In the main course, students gain training in many important areas. They learn about communications (how computers send and receive information, including hardware and software), media and content delivery, security, and machine learning(a type of artificial intelligence). The University of Surrey is a respectable university located in Guildford. It became a university in 1966. Its history began a long time ago in 1891. Entry Requirements for Nigerian Students

To start the degree, applicants must meet the following required grades:

Grade Requirements:

  • For A-levels, the University requires grades of CCC. These subjects must include Mathematics and one of Chemistry, Computer Science, Electronics, Further Mathematics, or Physics.
  • Applicants with an International Baccalaureate Diploma (IB) need an overall score of 29 points.

English Proficiency:

  • Applicants from non-English speaking backgrounds require an IELTS academic score of 6.0 overall, with at least 5.5 in listening, reading, writing, and speaking. Other equivalent tests are also accepted.

Cost of Study

The tuition fee for the BEng Computer and Internet Engineering with Foundation Year and Placement at the University of Surrey is £27,000 per year. Students also pay £1,900 for the placement year. Please note that fees are subject to annual increase.

Scholarships
