LLM Construction Law

Course Overview

The LLM Construction Law at the University of Strathclyde is an advanced course for two groups of people: those who work in construction and those who are lawyers. If you are a construction professional, you will learn about the legal rules for your industry and the legal steps in big construction projects, from beginning to end. If you are a lawyer, you will learn more about how construction projects are managed and gain deep legal knowledge about them.

You can take the course in person or online, and the content is the same for both. You can finish the whole course in one year if you study full-time or over two years if you study part-time. To get the final LLM degree, you must complete the required core subjects and then write a 15,000-word dissertation (a long essay) or choose to do a project or internship instead. Studying Construction Law from the University of Strathclyde will provide you with the essential legal and management knowledge for major construction projects.
