LLB Law Clinical Graduate Entry

The LLB Law (Clinical) (Graduate Entry) at the University of Strathclyde is a fast, two-year course for people who already have a university degree in any subject. If you want to study law and get real work experience at the same time, this is the course for you. This programme covers all the required professional subjects you need to become a solicitor in Scotland. You will study a three-year law degree in just two years. A key part of the course is the Law Clinic, where you put your learning into practice by helping people who cannot afford a lawyer.

You will study core law subjects, many with a clinical focus. For example, you will take Ethics and Justice and Clinical Legal Practice. You will also write a diary every two weeks about your work in the Law Clinic, which helps you think deeply about law and legal ethics. After two years, if you perform well, you may have the chance to continue to an Honours year. Studying LLB Law (Clinical) (Graduate Entry) from the University of Strathclyde will quickly provide you with the professional knowledge and practical experience you need for a legal career.

When you submit your application, you will be invited to an online interview for a position in the Law Clinic. Applicants who are unsuccessful at the interview may be made an alternative offer on the non-Clinical Graduate Entry Law programme at Strathclyde.

Grade Requirements

• A minimum of a second-class Honours degree in any discipline is required to study this course.

English Proficiency

• International students whose first language is not English are to show proficiency in English by having an Academic IELTS overall score of 6.5 with at least 5.5 in each component.

The tuition fee to study the LLB Law (Clinical) (Graduate Entry) at the University of Strathclyde is £23,850 per year. Kindly note that tuition fees are subject to an annual increase.

The University of Strathclyde offers financial support to assist international students with their education costs. A key option is the Undergraduate International Scholarship. This scholarship is available to new students from abroad who begin a Bachelor's degree at the university. Each award provides a reduction of between £5,000 and £7,000 on their annual tuition fees.
