Course Overview

The BSc Hons in Immunology & Microbiology is a four-year undergraduate programme that studies how the body defends itself against disease and how it handles microorganisms. The course is accredited by the Royal Society of Biology and provides foundational knowledge in cell functions, biological action, and the disease process. Students can gain practical laboratory skills and a deep understanding of how immune cells work.

In the final year, students complete an individual research project, which is written up as a thesis. Learning and assessment include lectures, tutorials, and practical classes.
