BSc Architectural Studies

Course Overview

The BSc Hons Architectural Studies at the University of Strathclyde combines creativity and practical knowledge. The course helps you build skills in design and construction, while also showing how architecture shapes everyday life. Learning happens mainly through studio projects, which are a lot like real practice. You will spend much of your time learning by having lectures, workshops, and tutorials with plenty of space for independent work, research, and refining your portfolio.

Assessment is not just about exams. Instead, your progress is measured in different ways, like design portfolios, group projects, technical reports, presentations, and occasional written papers. This approach reflects the reality of the profession. By the end, you would have a respected degree along with a strong design portfolio, practical experience, and a clear understanding of how architecture can make a difference in the world.
