MSc Construction Management
Course overview
This postgraduate degree is designed for graduates and experienced professionals in the architecture, engineering, and construction industries. It aims to develop the skills to lead construction management at a senior level. The program is accredited by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB), and the Association for Project Management (APM). The course is delivered through industry-aligned modules, with options for full-time, part-time, and online study.
The learning approach is driven by real-world problems experienced in construction industry workplaces. Teaching methods include lectures, tutorials, project work, and self-directed study. Assessment is primarily through written coursework, with continuous informal assessment by tutors. Distance learners use the Collaborate Ultra virtual learning environment.
Entry requirements
Candidates are required to submit a personal statement in which they discuss their reasons for applying for the course and other relevant information regarding their studies. A relevant academic and/or employer reference is also required. Students have the option to upload their CV along with their applications to demonstrate their work experience.

Applicants need to have a minimum of a second-class honours degree or equivalent international qualifications, including professional qualifications.

If English is not the applicant's first language, they need to prove their English proficiency. An IELTS score of 6.0 (with no element below 5.5) is accepted, as well as a range of equivalent qualifications such as PTE and TOEFL.
