Course overview

The BSc Human Resource Management (Top-Up) at the University of Roehampton is a one-year course for students who already have a foundation degree, HND, or equivalent in a business-related subject. It helps you build on what you’ve already learned and finish your full undergraduate degree.

This course teaches you how to manage people in the workplace, how to hire the right staff, train them, solve workplace problems, and make sure they are treated fairly. You’ll also study business laws, pay and reward systems, and how to support employee wellbeing.

Students learn through lectures, seminars and practical sessions, working closely alongside faculty members and classmates. Assessments replicate real tasks and projects, while professional-standard facilities allow students to fully explore and understand the typical work involved in their future career.

Entry requirements

A personal statement and two (2) references are required as part of the application. 

Academic Requirements:

  • 240 credits from a Higher National Diploma (HND), a foundation degree (FdA/ FdSc) or equivalent international qualification in a relevant subject
  • 240 credits from years 1 and 2 of an undergraduate degree (BA/BSc) in a relevant subject at a different institution

English Language Requirements:
International students need to demonstrate proficiency in English. The typical requirement is IELTS 6.0 overall, with no less than 5.5 in each component. Other equivalent English language qualifications may also be accepted.
