Grade Requirements:

• A second-class honours degree in a relevant subject, or equivalent professional experience and/or qualifications is required to study this course. 

English Proficiency:

• International students whose first language is not English are to show proficiency in English with an IELTS score of 6.0 (or equivalent) with no component score below 5.5. 

The full-time tuition fee to study the MSc Electronic and Electrical Engineering at the University of Portsmouth is £19,200. Please note that the fee quoted is for the 2025/2026 academic session only.

International students at the University of Portsmouth have access to several scholarships that help ease their financial burden. For instance, the Chancellor’s Global Academic Merit Scholarship offers up to £5,000 towards a reduction in tuition fees. To be eligible for this scholarship you must be a self-funded international student. You will also have to fill out an online form to be considered.
