Course overview

The BA International Enterprise and Business Communication (Top-Up) programme at the University of Portsmouth is designed to shape students into effective English communicators with expert business awareness and competence to make them ready for the competitive world of business. The one-year full-time or two part-time programmes enable students to explore all aspects of modern enterprises, including how to use language as a tool to learn about people and become effective business communicators internationally.

The BA International Enterprise and Business Communication (Top-Up) programme at the University of Portsmouth is an ideal course for international students who wish to learn about how people use conversion and entrepreneurial thinking to conduct business and bring new products and services to market. After completing the course, students will have the English language proficiency and international business knowledge to set up their own business or start-up.

Entry requirements

Grade Requirements:

Applicants for the 1-year course require relevant HE study leading to a Level 5 qualification, for example, an appropriate HND, foundation degree or advanced diploma, or 240 credits from year 1 and year 2 of an undergraduate degree (BA/BSc) in a relevant subject. Applicants for the 2-year course require relevant HE study leading to a Level 4 qualification.

English Proficiency:

Applicants for the 2-year course require English language proficiency at a minimum of IELTS band 5.5 with no component score below 5.5. Applicants for the 1-year course require English language proficiency at a minimum of IELTS band 6.0 with no component score below 5.5.
