LLB Law
Course overview
The LLB Law at the University of Greenwich is a three-year full-time undergraduate programme, with a part-time study option available over four years. Based at the Greenwich Campus in London, the course covers the key areas of legal study required for a Qualifying Law Degree (QLD) in England and Wales.
Core modules include Public Law, Law of Contract, Land Law, Law of Torts, Criminal Law, Equity & Trusts, and Human Rights and European Union Law. In the final year, students can tailor their studies by choosing from a wide range of optional modules such as Commercial Law, Intellectual Property Law, Financial Services: Law, Regulation & Practice, International Law, Law of Evidence, Company & Partnership Law, and a Legal Work Placement.
Teaching and assessment are delivered through lectures, seminars, workshops, independent learning, and practice-based assignments, supported by modern legal teaching facilities. The programme is recognised by the Bar Standards Board as covering the seven foundational law subjects required for a career as a barrister and is designed to prepare students for the Solicitors Regulation Authority’s Solicitors Qualifying Examination (SQE).
