BSc Psychology, Mental Health Wellbeing

University of Greenwich

Course overview

The University of Greenwich BSc Mental Health & Wellbeing, also known as Psychology, Mental Health & Wellbeing, is an undergraduate degree that teaches students about human behaviour, including what causes certain reactions in humans, and how those reactions impact mental health and well-being.

In this programme, students learn human behaviour through modules such as cognitive psychology, experimental psychology, and developmental psychology. They also understand how the human mind operates, how to work with people, and provide solutions to their internal problems, like depression, to promote their well-being and quality of life.

Students learn about mental health stigma, ways to promote mental health in communities and institutions, and fundraising skills for mental health organisations. Graduates can also work in non-clinical jobs in the public sector (like the NHS and social care), the private sector, and non-profit organisations.

Learning is through lectures, tutorials, workshops, and group projects, and students are assessed through classroom presentations, discussions, assignments, examinations, and a final-year project.
