Overview
Given the constant shifts in the global marketplace, gaining a competitive advantage by adopting digital technologies is the best bet. As the day goes by, different technologies are developed to make life easier for the common man. However, the cycle doesn't end there because technologies are useful in business, construction, education, and other aspects of life.
The BA Business and Management (Digital Business) course illustrates the importance of technology within the field of education. It’s a three-year programme designed to prepare students for the digital business world. Accredited by the Chartered Management Institute (CMI), the course offers the opportunity to earn a level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management alongside the degree. This training will provide you with the necessary skills to be successful working for international companies, or to allow you to create your company.
In this course, students will understand the impact of digital tools in bringing business and management gains. In your first year, you'll gain a strong foundation in core business and management principles. Students in their second and third years will learn about digital business, with a focus on business technology, cybersecurity and how digital marketing works. There will be active learning to engage students in a range of learning activities, in addition to lectures, tutorials, and seminars. Students will also observe computer-based simulations that model real-life cases, to help them apply their knowledge, be adaptable, and think-out-the-box.
Furthermore, students can choose to complete a year-long industry placement with organisations such as IBM, Panasonic, and Sophos, providing valuable practical experience and expanding their professional networks. Graduates are well-prepared for roles such as Digital Business Practitioner, Digital Transformation Specialist, and Business Analyst.
