LLM International Trade Law

University of East Anglia UEA

Course overview

This one-year, full-time LLM offers specialist study of the legal frameworks essential to facilitating global trade and investment, focusing on how law supports efficient cross-border commerce. The programme explores the complexities of 'transnational' transactions, including the harmonisation efforts of international bodies such as UNCITRAL and the Hague Conference in areas such as sales and international commercial payments.

Teaching is delivered by experts from academia and legal practice, primarily through interactive lectures and small-group seminars at Earlham Hall. Assessment is focused on coursework and includes a compulsory non-credit bearing skills module and a Dissertation on an area of specific interest in international trade law.
