UEA was one of the UK’s pioneers in teaching film, television, and media studies. We’re based in Norwich, a city that is part of UNESCO's global Creative Cities network and often referred to as the “City of Stories.” We’ve played a key role in shaping the UK’s media industry—our alumni include the Chief Executive of Film London, as well as up-and-coming filmmakers, some of whom showcase their work at Norwich Film Festival, one of Europe's leading short film festivals. Today, we’re at the cutting edge of digital storytelling, exploring how traditional forms are being transformed by new media.
