BA Business Management and Finance

This degree is accredited by the Chartered Management Institute (CMI), meaning you’ll graduate with both a CMI Level 5 Diploma in Management and Leadership and your degree—boosting your leadership credentials. In the course, there are optional modules that offer exemptions from Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) exams, providing a pathway to becoming a Chartered Management Accountant.

To study BA Business Management and Finance at the University of Derby, the following requirements must be met:

Grade Requirements

• Students must have at least 112 UCAS Tariff points from A-Levels or equivalents.
• Pass Access to HE Diploma with 60 credits: 45 at Level 3 with a minimum of Distinction: 15, Merit: 24, Pass: 6. 

English Proficiency

• International students whose first language is not English must achieve a minimum IELTS score of 6.0, with at least 5.5 in each component. Other recognised tests like TOEFL or PTE Academic can also be used to demonstrate English language proficiency.

International students who want to enrol in the BA Business Management and Finance course at the University of Derby are expected to pay an annual tuition fee of £16,900. For local students, the annual tuition fee is £9,535.

The University of Derby offers a variety of scholarships and financial support options for international students. One of the key scholarships is the Vice-Chancellor’s Scholarship, which provides a £2,000 reduction on first-year tuition fees. Additionally, through a partnership with the British Council, the GREAT Scholarship awards £10,000 to eligible Indian students enrolling in a one-year postgraduate course starting in September 2025.
