Course overview

The Pharmacy PhD programme is a research degree that students can complete full-time in three years or part-time in six years. It has flexible start times throughout the year. The course focuses on learning linked to real-world practice, preparing pharmacists for advanced clinical work and research within modern healthcare teams. Students' studies will be supported by a highly experienced supervisory team, dedicated seminars, and specialist workshops to help their academic development.

The PhD programme takes place at a leading medical research centre that aims to improve medical science through research across different subjects. Students can use Wales’ top, purpose-built research facilities. They also benefit from the centre’s strong links with important partners, such as the NHS and the Welsh Government. The knowledge and abilities students gain will significantly boost their career prospects in a competitive job market.
