Course overview
The BSc (Honours) Information Technology with Business Studies at Sheffield Hallam University will allow students to gain practical knowledge of business management, information systems, IT management, and data analytics. Students will study both information technology and business management concepts along with the foundations of information analysis. These elements are combined to understand customers and markets.
In the programme, students will be able to develop their knowledge by analysing business services and creating business cases and solutions using tools such as WordPress and Visio. In their final year, students will apply practical skills by working with clients to design and deliver business and service solutions. They will also analyse and evaluate business data while developing business architecture and strategies.
Entry requirements

Grade Requirements
- Applicants are expected to have 112-120 UCAS tariff points with qualifications equivalent to A-levels at BBC-BBB. Other qualifications include a BTEC Extended Diploma or a combination of qualifications, which may include AS Levels, EPQ, and general studies.
English Proficiency
- If you are an international student, you'll need an IELTS score of 6.0 overall, with at least 5.5 in each part (reading, writing, listening, and speaking). Other English language tests, like PTE or TOEFL, are also accepted by the university.
