MSc Sport Management
Course overview
The MSc Sport Management at Nottingham Trent University brings together teaching, research, and consultancy to equip students with the knowledge and practical skills to lead and manage global sport projects and pursue a career in the sport management industry. This course allows students to gain a critical understanding of essential current topics, including sport ecology, sales, and sports law. The department is supported by specialised facilities and resources, which students will have access to, including virtual reality technologies.
Students will have the opportunity to engage with sport management professionals at local organisations such as Nottingham Forest Football Club, Nottingham Wildcats Basketball Club, and the National Ice Centre. This course employs a variety of teaching, learning and assessment methods, which ensure that students can develop comprehensive practice and an extensive portfolio along with many essential transferable skills.
Entry requirements
Grade Requirements
- International students with an honours degree (minimum 2.1 or equivalent) in a sport or management-related subject. Applicants with a 2.2 honours degree will be considered on an individual basis.
English Language Requirements
- IELTS: International students are required to achieve a minimum overall score of 6.5, with a minimum of 5.5 in each component.
- PTE Academic: International students are required to score no less than 59 in any element.
- TOEFL iBT, including ‘Home Edition: International students are required to score an overall of 72 with at least 18 in Reading, 17 in Listening, 20 in Speaking, and 17 in Writing.
- International Baccalaureate: English Language A: Literature or English Language A: Language and Literature [Grade 4] at Standard or Higher Level. English B: [Grade 6] at Standard Level, or [Grade 5] at Higher Level.
