BSc Nursing Learning Disabilities
Course overview
This three-year degree trains students to become registered learning disabilities nurses. The course teaches them the key professional skills for providing high-quality care to people with learning disabilities at any age. Additionally, the course content is current and practical because we develop it with the help of patients and their families.
The programme uses a combined style of teaching, with half the time spent in the classroom and half spent on placements (2,300 hours each). Learning involves attending lectures, workshops, and seminars. To pass, candidates must complete a series of assessments, including written papers, presentations, practical skill tests, and a final large research project.
