Mechanical Engineering and Design (Top up) BEng (Hons)

London South Bank UniversitySouthwark Campus, United Kingdom

Course overview

Complete your degree, open new doors in Mechanical Engineering and Design Not everyone takes the same route into university, and that’s ok. Whether you’ve completed a HND and want to top-up to a full degree, or you’ve completed two years of Mechanical Engineering elsewhere and are ready to finish your degree with us, then look no further. This course gives you the opportunity to complete your journey and achieve your goals.

In your top-up year, you’ll study third year modules from our Mechanical Engineering BEng (Hons)/MEng degree, equipping you with the specialist knowledge and practical skills demanded in the tech industry. From Innovations and Enterprise to Manufacturing Systems, you’ll also choose from a range of elective modules designed to help you build specialist expertise and shape your career path. Mechanical Engineering at LSBU is all about turning top-class learning (we consistently score highly in university rankings) into practical skills you can use in the real world.

With this degree programme, you will build a solid grounding in core principles and concepts, while also getting the space to test your own ideas, make things, break things and use data to innovate. This will position you to work in almost any sector where ethical problem solvers are needed: from energy and transportation to robotics and pharmaceuticals. If you’re the kind of person who can see the solutions others can’t, then this is the place for you.
