Overview

The BSc Psychology with Foundation year offered at London South Bank University is a four-year course that allows students who require a firm foundation in the fundamentals of their course to be in a position to take the full programme. Year one is about establishing a firm foundation in academic and science-related subjects so that students can be fully prepared to deal with the years that follow in the psychology degree. It will help to build critical thinking, analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.

This program has the British Psychological Society accreditation. The curriculum will be taught using a holistic approach that would include the following topics: biological, cognitive, individual differences, developmental and social psychology. Entry Requirements

You need to submit a personal statement, and a relevant academic and/or employer reference is also required. You also have the option to include your CV along with your applications to show your work experience.

Grade Requirements:

  • Applicants need 64 UCAS points from A-Levels, BTEC, or an Access to HE Diploma. Candidates must also have five GCSEs at grade C or above (grade 4 or above in reformed GCSEs), including Maths and English.
  • International students can submit qualifications that are equivalent to A-levels.

English Proficiency:

  • Applicants from non-English speaking backgrounds need to achieve a minimum IELTS score of 6.0 overall, with a minimum of 5.5 in each section, or an equivalent test score.
