BEng Electronic and Computer Systems Engineering
Course overview
The London South Bank University Electronic and Computer Systems Engineering programme combines knowledge from electrical and electronic engineering with computer science. This course is special because it teaches both the theory of electronics and computer engineering and the practical hardware and software tools needed. It uses a systems engineering approach to design, allowing graduates to manage the complex engineering projects common in the world today.
Students on this programme will study a range of applications in electronic and computer engineering, learning to design and build software, hardware, and networking systems for various fields.
The course is built on sound engineering principles and practice, covering computer hardware and software engineering, digital systems, embedded systems, and network design. Learning takes place through lectures, tutorials, and hands-on laboratory work, with assessments including coursework and examinations that test practical skills and theoretical understanding.
