MArch Architecture RIBA 2 is a design-oriented master's degree programme. It is aimed at helping students develop skills to be able to work in areas of design, technology, practice, history and theory. The course promotes creativity and experimentation among the students in their work, and considers social, political, and economic factors in their designs.
To motivate learning, tutors set self-directed study and ambitious projects. Evaluation is mainly achieved by design projects, but coursework, professional reports and technology dissertations are also used in evaluating the work of the students. The course is recognised by the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) and the Architects Registration Board (ARB).
