Course overview

The BA Interior Architecture and Design (Top-up) at London Metropolitan University is designed to help students develop specialist skills in the areas of observational and spatial drawing, computer drawing, model making, and technological investigations. Alongside design proposals, they will research and analyse the culture and context in which their design thinking is being applied.

As they progress through this course, they will develop their own creative approach and thinking for a better understanding of design processes. The programme is supplemented by study trips, practice visits, design workshops, and weekly lectures by designers and architects to enable students to have the necessary skills to prepare them to become interior architects.

Entry requirements

You are required to submit a personal statement in which you discuss your reasons for applying for the course and other relevant information regarding your studies. A relevant academic and/or employer reference is also required. Students have the option to upload their CVs along with their applications to demonstrate their work experience.

Grade Requirements:

  • Applicants are expected to have 240 credits from a Higher National Diploma (HND).
  • Foundation Degree (FdA/FdSc).
  • Or an equivalent international qualification in a relevant subject.

English Proficiency:
