Course Overview

Liverpool John Moores University BSc Computing offers a blend of practical and vocational alternatives to some of the more theoretically oriented computer science and software engineering degrees. It is designed to equip the students with practical skills and theoretical knowledge in major areas of study such as programming, software development, information systems development and systems analysis. Students on the programme have the chance of doing a paid industrial placement.

In the final year, the students have the option of specialising in topics of interest like Web Development, Computer Networks or Data Analytics. Entry Requirements for Nigerian Students

To be enrolled, you are required to submit a personal statement discussing your reasons for applying and other relevant information. A relevant academic and/or employer reference is also required. You can also upload their CV to show your work experience.

Grade Requirements:

  • Applicants need a minimum of 80 UCAS tariff points, including A-levels, T-levels, BTECs, and the International Baccalaureate. International qualifications that are equivalent to A-levels are also accepted.

English Proficiency: 

  • If you are from a non-English speaking background, you need to have an IELTS overall score of 6.0, with no section less than 5.5, or an equivalent qualification such as TOEFL and PTE.

Cost of Study

For international students, the annual tuition fee for the BSc Computing at Liverpool John Moores University is £18,250.

Scholarships

LJMU offers various scholarships and bursaries to support its students. The International Achievement Scholarship is a partial tuition fee award of £3,000 for each year of undergraduate study. This scholarship is awarded automatically to eligible students who have progressed to LJMU. Other scholarships are available, including those for specific regions and those offered through partner organisations.
