The BEng Mechatronics and Autonomous Systems programme teaches students how to design and control smart machines and robotics by combining mechanical and electrical engineering, computing, and control systems. Students will learn how to create complex automated systems by learning about robotics, electronics, and software development.
Students will learn through lectures, practical laboratory sessions, and project-based work and will be assessed through written examinations, coursework reports, a portfolio of work, and a final-year project. The curriculum includes core modules such as Engineering Mathematics 1a and 1b, Applied Mechanics, Software Development for Embedded, Engineering Circuit Analysis, Analogue Electronics, and Professional Practice and the Environment.
