Kingston University

Course overview

The MEng Electrical and Electronic Engineering course at Kingston University is a comprehensive programme that prepares students for a successful career in the field. This course offers an in-depth understanding of the technology shaping our modern world.

Students will have the opportunity to study different subjects, from artificial intelligence and robotics to power electronics and communication systems. Through practical and hands-on projects, students will gain the skills that are highly sought after by employers today. They might find themselves building and programming robots, designing electronics for electric vehicles, or developing new renewable energy systems.

Additionally, the programme encourages students to consider the global impact of their work. They will learn to apply the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals to their engineering projects, helping them contribute to a more sustainable future. During their final year, they will put to use all the knowledge they have gained by working on advanced design projects and specialised modules in areas like green energy and small computer systems. A key part of this experience is a team project with a real-world company, which provides valuable professional experience and prepares students for their career or future research.
